Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks (6-8 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat tuna steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, stir-fry mushrooms and cabbage until softened (about 5-7 minutes).
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and sesame seeds.
  6. Pour sauce over the vegetables and stir-fry for another minute.
  7. Slice tuna steaks and serve over stir-fried vegetables.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve with cooked rice.
